Rhodotypos scandens: Black jetbead (jetbead)

Plant Identification:

• Growth form: deciduous shrub; maturing to a height of 5' to 7'
• Leaves: opposite and simple; bright green; doubly serrate with a rough leaf surface 2" to 4" long and 1" to 2" wide
• Flowers: white, 4 petaled in small terminal clusters
• Fruit: fleshy; small black bead-like in groups of four
