Eriocheir sinensis: Chinese mitten crab
Species Identification:
The Chinese mitten crab has a unique share shaped carapace which can reach 5-7 cm in width, but can reach 10 cm. Their key identifying feature is the hair-like covering on their claws. The color varies from yellow to brown. Legs are approximately twice the length of the carapace width. They also have a notch between the eyes, with two small spines located on either side.
